Job Description

PRG Hospitality Group is hiring for the Hotel General Manager position for its growing portfolio of curated hotels offering an authentic and distinct lodging experience.

We are currently hiring for the Holiday House in downtown Palm Springs, which is a Conde Nast 2018 ‘Hot List’ hotel.  The 28 room boutique hotel was designed by renowned interior designer, Mark D. Sikes.  The hotel has received a tremendous amount of international press which can be found at www.holidayhouseps.com.  

We are seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead the property and execute our plan with the support of our senior management team based in Santa Monica. 

The candidate should have the following experience:

  • -3+ years of luxury boutique hotel experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Front desk manager/supervisor, assistant manager or related experience is preferred
  • Strong references

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement guest service program.
  • Hire, train, and monitor all hotel employees.
  • Have knowledge of or willingness to learn budgets and financial goals.
  • Responsible for meeting revenue and expense projections for the hotel. Required to meet all ADR, Occupancy, and RevPar projections.
  • Inventory controls for both the hotel.
  • Maintain guest room standards.
  • Embody and direct ownership’s vision and business model through day-to-day management of departments for the hotel.

About Us

Holiday House is a 28-room boutique hotel located in downtown Palm Springs. Originally opened in 1951, the hotel was designed by noted architect Herbert W. Burns. Today, it has been reimagined by interior designer Mark D. Sikes and the team behind Sparrows Lodge. The property features midcentury inspired elements combined with a communal atmosphere and whimsical edge. The design centers around Gio Ponti inspired tile-work in the bar and artwork throughout the property including pieces by David Hockney, Roy Liechtenstein, Herb Ritts, Alex Katz and Mr. Brainwash, with a garden sculpture by Donald Sultan.
